President -  Dr. Eleni Ahanasiadi

Dr. Landscape Architect (MLA + PHD AUTH) - Agronomist (BSc + MSc Horticulture) and Laboratory Teaching Staff (L.L.T.P.) of the Department of Agriculture AUTH, co-teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses of the Department of Agriculture, Department of Architecture and MSc Landscape Architecture, AUTH. She was Vice President of Communication of the WUAA (2018-2021) and Delegate of the WUAA to the International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA, IFLA Europe) (2020-22). Member of the extended board of the Institute for Research on European Agricultural Landscapes e.V. (EUCALAND) and the Landscape Architect of the College of Anatolia, Thessaloniki. Co-author of books, he has published papers in scientific journals and proceedings of international and national conferences and is a referee of papers in scientific journals.

General Secretary -  Dr. Olga X. Bakirtzi

Dr. Agronomist - Landscape Architect (MLA), working at the Archaeological Service. She studied at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh. Doctorate from the Faculty of Agriculture, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. She is involved in interventions for the protection and enhancement of the historic landscape and specializes in vegetation management in archaeological sites and monument environments. She has published two monographs and a series of articles on related topics.

Vice president for Business Affairs -  Natalia Kogia

Natalia Kogia studied Architectural Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens and completed postgraduate studies in Landscape Architecture at the Agricultural University of
Athens. She has worked as an architect in Greece and Switzerland. Natalia is currently working as a landscape architect based in Athens on small and large-scale projects related to landscape
design, environmental planning, urban planning, and spatial planning in Greece and abroad.

Vice president for Educational Affairs-  Dr. Anastasia Papadopoulou

Dr. Architectural Engineer of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Landscape Architect of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She teaches at the Master's Degree in 'Landscape Architecture' at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki since 2005. He has taught courses in the scientific field of 'Landscape Architecture' at the Departments of Architecture of the University of Ioannina (2018-2019) and Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2019-2021). He has multiple participations in research projects, conferences, and exhibitions. She is a member of, among others, TEE-TKM, SAATH, EIA and has participated as a member of jury committees of architectural competitions. In parallel with her professional activities, she is completing her studies at the Department of Visual and Applied Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In 2009 she founded with Vanessa Tsakalidou the office 40.22. Architects, based in Thessaloniki. Their research and applied work has been presented in numerous conferences and lectures, in exhibitions, as well as in Greek and international publications, magazines, and websites and has received significant awards and distinctions.

Vice President of Public Affairs & Communication -  Alexandra Panagari

She is working as a Civil Engineer and Landscape Architect in the private sector, mainly in the design and implementation of private residences. 
In her academic career so far, her main areas of interest have been how the surrounding space, in the public and private areas, impacts the individual and how the latter impacts other societies.

Τreasurer -  Maria Gidarakou

Dr Agronomist AUTH, Landscape Designer University of Newcastle. In 1995 she started her business with a nursery of ornamental plants, she has been a freelancer since 2000 in the design and construction of private gardens, study and management of landscape projects (gardens, public spaces, landscape restorations), landscape projects administration, and nursery management. She was a Landscape Architecture Consultant in the Municipality of Katerini. Professor in “Sod biology” in the postgraduate program of the University of Thessaly (2016) and since 2011 teacher in “Landscape construction” and “Circular Economy in agriculture” in vocational education. Her research in «Design Principles in Hospital Gardens» has been presented at conferences and has issued a book about Healing Gardens. Several of her works have been praised, including the Gold Prize in Landscape Awards in Urban Microscapes in 2021 for the “Municipality Plaza of Katerini”.

Member - Evangelia Oikonomou

She graduated from the Department of Architecture of AUTH and from the Interdepartmental Post-Graduate Program in Landscape Architecture of the same university. She is currently working as a Landscape Architect in an Athens office with participation in hotel projects, urban projects, and infrastructure projects. She has participated in landscape and urban research, workshops, and voluntary actions. Throughout her studies, she carried out multiple research projects on the urban landscape, the child in the city, the rural landscape, and the history of art, while specializing in landscape design for children. Her interests include research, ecology, and scenography.

Association Members

The Association has full, associate, honorary and student members.

A. Full members can be Greeks or non-Greeks, who hold a two years postgraduate degree diploma in Landscape Architecture or a bachelor degree in Landscape Architecture from a foreign higher education institution which is recognized by the Greek state as equivalent to Greek higher education diplomas.

B. Associate members can be Greeks or non-Greeks, who hold a one-year postgraduate degree in Landscape Architecture, or a bachelor degree in Landscape Architecture, of a (at least) four-year course, from a Greek higher technological institution or equivalent foreign institution, and additionally have practiced Landscape Architecture professionally for (at least) two years.

C. Honorary members can be Greeks or non-Greeks, who have been distinguished in the Landscape Architecture profession or have offered exceptional services to the aims and pursuits of this Association.

D. Student members are postgraduate or undergraduate Landscape Architecture students, either of university or higher technological institution which after their graduation will fulfill requirements to register as full or associate members.
